Neymar, prolific Brazillian international currently playing for Paris Saint-Germain may be on his way to Stamford Bridge, if transfer talks between the two clubs sail through, making it the first time the prized winger, would be plying his skills in England.

Reports say the Brazillian might be toeing the path of his team-mate, Lionel Messi, seven-time Balon D’or winner, said to have concluded plans to exit the Ligue 1 champions with eyes set for either a return to his Barcelona, where he was picked up as a teenager and played for many years before leaving in August 2021 or Saudi Arabia, already hosting his arch-rival, Ronaldo and now Karim Benzima.

As much as he tried, the stylish player, who signed a five-year deal with the French team, never hit it big as was expected, missing out on the big events, including delivering the much desired UEFA Championship League trophy, for which the club was believed to have gone fishing for the big names in world football, and crowned it all with a not-too impressive out the last season as well, having been nursing an ankle injury since February.

But all that might be over for the 32-year-old, who only managed 18 goals and 17 assists in 29 appearances for the Parisians, if he eventually heads to English football, as he might be putting the experience behind.

Reports, quoting Le10 Sport, indicate that the The Blues’ new boss, Mauricio Pochettino, is itching for a reunion with Neymar, having previously managed him during his stint at PSG in the 2021-22 season.

Karim Benzema, 35, who has just signed for Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad, has attributed the move to the influence of former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo, after the move of the former Real Madrid goal poacher, was made official on Tuesday evening.

The Ballon d’Or winner, who signed a two-year contract that will see him earn a whopping sum of €200m annually, reportedly said that the experience with Ronaldo, the Portuguese captain, had shown that Saudi football was getting ahead.

He was quoted as saying: “Al Ittihad is a new challenge for me. It’s a good league and there are many good players. Cristiano Ronaldo is already here, he is a friend who shows that Saudi Arabia is starting to get ahead and I am here to win as I did in Europe.”

Aurelio De Laurentiis, President of Napoli Football Club, is reportedly planning an irresistible contract that would keep Victor Osimhen, whose superlative performance has justified his €75million record signing to the Italian side three years ago.

Laurentiis is said to be in direct talks with Roberto Calenda, the agent of Nigeria’s sensational forward,  Osimhen, fingered as central in gifting the club its first Serie A championship in 33 years, after he netted an equaliser against Udinese, over a possible contract review.
