Like the biblical Joshua, who sought to leave no one in doubt when he declared before the entire Israelite that his entire family and himself would serve God, Apostle Suleman, Pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries International, has toed the same road with a loud echo – my entire family is Obidient!
In a video that has gone viral since Sunday, the cleric in a scintillating message, which drew wild applause from his congregation at a church sermon, told the cheering members: My wife, my children, myself, we’re fully Obidient. Fully, 100 per cent. We’re not one of those who make noise on the social media. We work at the background, we support.”
The cleric, who explained that he practically went out of his way to talk politics, an area he said he usually avoided in his sermons, because of the need to guide the members of the church, reminded them of the need never to be influence by wrong choices, reminding them of the devastation Nigeria had passed through in recent years, for making wrong choices.
Dwelling into the recent cash crunch in the country, in which, due to the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), leading to the redesign of the Naira and cashless regime, Nigerians now find it extremely difficult to find cash to purchase basic essentials and transact businesses, he described as the outcome of “two-fighting,” urging the gladiators to leave the people out of their disputes.
Hear him: “Omega Family Ministries, God has blessed us. No matter the economy of the forest, the lion cannot eat grass. Use this anger to vote against this wickedness. My wife, my children, myself, we’re fully Obidient. Fully, 100 per cent. We’re not one of those who make noise on the social media. We work at the background, we support.
“If you like, vote something else. You see me, I hardly stay in the country. I hardly stay in Nigeria. In a whole year I can stay 80 days or 60 days. I’ll be going and coming and I’ll be looking at you if you go and vote nonsense – if you vote insecurity, tribalism, bigotry, ethnicity – if that’s what you’re going to vote.
“Listen to me, as I say this – you know I don’t talk like that, but I’m telling you the truth – my wife is here, me, I’m here, I will never – I have friends across the divide – they’re there, they’re my friends. But most of them are supporting because of what they want to get. They know who they’re supporting is bad. They know, but it’s because of what they want to get.
“For you to support a man and you’ve nothing to gain, it shows that you’re honest, because it’s about the country. Somebody sent me a message – Apostle, I’m waiting for your candidate to fail so I can call you out. And I told him and said – una no dey tire? You want to call me out, so what will that do to me. You think me, the big men or some of the celebrities who are supporting Peter Obi, you think we’re supporting because we don’t have anything to do? We’re supporting because of the masses. that’s the truth. Win or don’t win, it doesn’t reduce us. We’re supporting because of the masses, so no matter win or lose, it doesn’t reduce us. They’re some of us that can never come down. It’s too late. No matter what you do, we can never come down.
“I’m saying this because I know – my father is here, he’s having his reservations somehow – I know he said remove mouth from politics. I’m not talking politics. You’re my people and I should tell you. Me, I’m voting Peter Obi. My wife, peter Obi; my pastors, Peter Obi; those that love me, Peter Obi. If you’re not tired, continue. No money anywhere now, do you want to continue like this? All of them are part of the people that destroyed the country. The one that has not destroyed the country is the one we’ll support. This is how I see life. All these things I said now, I heard it from a mad man!”
